See current wildland fire perimeters for the United States and Canada on one map. US perimeters are agency-mapped by the National Interagency Fire Center and update about every 5 minutes; Canadian perimeters come from the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System as satellite-derived estimates, updated daily.
Click any fire for its name, size in acres, and percent containment where reported. Satellite fire hotspots render alongside the perimeters to show newly detected heat that agency mapping may not have caught up with yet.
- US perimeters: NIFC (agency-mapped, ~5 minute updates)
- Canadian perimeters: CWFIS, Natural Resources Canada (satellite estimates, daily)
- Hotspots: NASA FIRMS (VIIRS, last 24 hours or 7 days)
