Wildfire Smoke Map
NOAA analysts outline visible smoke plumes from satellite imagery through each day and classify them light, medium, or heavy. This map shows the most recent published analysis, labeled with its date, together with current air quality readings so you can see where smoke is actually reaching the ground.
Smoke aloft does not always mean bad air at the surface. Click a plume for its density, and check the AQI dots underneath it for what people are breathing.
