Fire Weather Outlook Map
The Storm Prediction Center forecasts where wind, low humidity, and dry fuels will favor fire spread, categorized elevated, critical, or extremely critical. This map renders the Day 1 outlook polygons; click an area for its category and valid window.
The outlook is a forecast of conditions, not of fires. Use it with Red Flag Warnings (what is warned now) and the drought layer (how primed the landscape is).
