Snowpack (SNOTEL) Map
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service operates about nine hundred SNOTEL stations in the mountain West that report snow-water equivalent, the amount of water held in the snowpack. Click a station for its reading, elevation, and the as-of date.
Snowpack is seasonal: most stations read zero outside the snow season. In spring, pair it with the river gauges to watch the melt reach the rivers.
