River Gauge Map
About seven thousand National Weather Service river gauges report observed conditions nationally. Each gauge is colored by status: blue for no flooding, yellow near flood stage, and orange through purple for minor to major flooding. Click a gauge for the river name and its current status.
For paddlers and river trips, the gauge layer pairs naturally with snowpack (what will melt) and drought (how low baseflows are running).
